Feigen / figs

frische Feigen, klein geschnitten

Feta, vorzugsweise aus Ziegen- oder Schafsmilch

muss nicht, aber kann: Pinienkerne

Das Dressing:

1 Tasse Olivenoel

salad with figs, feta and pine nuts

I’m not planning to turn my blog into a food blog but I have something I thought I’d share with you. One of my favourite fruits are figs. It’s fig season right now and so I’m finding them at the farmer’s markets and at Superstore. I wanted to try something new and somehow this combination ended up on my plate:

salad, mixed greens

fresh figs, cubed

feta, goats or sheep milk

optional: pine nuts

The dressing

1 cup olive oil

1/2 cup lemon juice (I didn’t have lemons so I used grapefruit)

1 tbsp honey (I used buckwheat)

1 garlic glove, pressed

herbs, about 1tbsp dried or fresh as you wish

I don’t what exactly it is but this salad is so yummy that I could eat it every day. I also tried it with some strawberries, raspberries or blueberries and that’s yummy too.
