Welcome back or Nanowrimo

It’s been a while since I wrote an actual blog post. After not blogging regularly for a few years I noticed I’m missing it and since it is November and therefore NaNoWriMo I’m doing my own version of it and get back into the habit of blogging.

Life has been busy. This fall I started the 4th year of school besides working full-time and this term especially is intense with the work load. Hopefully I will still find enough time to do thing worth blogging about. And for those days I won’t have the time there is the Instagram plugin that posts my pics automatically here as well 🙂

Ms. Blasebalg (German blog) has a “Wednesday event” and often I had good ideas but until I had time for posting it was Wednesday again.

“Offline” is the current theme. I am offline very rarely. I can’t avoid it in my job (but who can this in today’s times?) and in my private I don’t want to avoid it. If it has a sense you can really see how great all the technical stuff is. I would not buy a webcam when I was living in Germany just for calling somebody somewhere but now I am not in Germany, I am here, in Canada. Our families are 8000km away but so close because of things like Skype. I really noticed that in end of July when my 81 year old grandmother was at my parents’ home and was talking via Skype with us and was really impressed that she could see us and knows now that everything is ok because she can see us. Her “last picture” of us was how we left the airport…

Like most things the “online life” has pros and cons and it happens more often that my computer is cold off, especially when we are going on a trip.

I can live without TV and the latest trends but not without internet. Without internet I would not spin, would not stay longer than a vacation trip in Canada and, the most important thing, I would not have met so much nice people like in the last years…
